Are you passionate about supporting young people and their families?Social Futures is excited to be seeking a motivated, skilled person to join our Connecting You team. The position is based in the Tweed/Ballina/Byron Region and works with vulnerable young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The program works closely with young people 12-15 years of age along with their families to build connection, increase life skills, and prevent homelessness. Your ability to balance supporting participants using a collaborative strengths based framework whilst screening for child protection makes this a varied and interesting position that supports participants to achieve their goals.The ideal candidate will:• Have the ability to balance supporting participants using a collaborative and strengths based framework to case management that provides relevant assistance and support in a timely manner• Have a sound knowledge of child protection legislation and an ability to screen and report risks appropriately• Be calm, composed, resilient and able to embrace and act on feedback with a positive attitude• Communicate effectively by listening, showing appropriate empathy and adapting your communication style to suit the situation; and• Contribute positively to team and organizational cultureSocial Futures values diversity, with 9% of our employees identifying as Indigenous, we continue to strongly encourage indigenous and Torres strait islanders to apply.
