Social Futures is seeking a motivated and skilled person to join our Youth Team as a Program Worker in our Homeless Youth Assistance Program (HYAP). As a Program Worker, you will be working with young people (aged 12-15) and their families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.We work with young people and their families to:Rebuild family, kin and cultural connections, and work towards family reconciliation, where appropriateEngage in conflict resolution and manage challenging behaviour's in the home Successfully transition to independenceEngage with education, training and/or employmentAccess mainstream health, mental health and well-being servicesEngage with the broader community to support successful transition to independence where it is appropriate to a young person’s age and development.The position requires relevant tertiary and /or sector experience.Applicants with skills in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:Advocacy and creative problem solvingProviding person-centered support and careExperience in family systems theoryTrauma informed approach to managing family dynamicsDe-escalation and conflict resolution in a case management settingManaging challenging behaviours.What Social Futures Offers:A responsive and family friendly workplaceAccess to banked hours leaveAttractive salary packaging optionsRegular supervision and supportOngoing training and development    Social Futures is a voice for social change in regional Australia, helping to create connected, resilient communities.
