If you are you interested in supporting families, carers, children and young people to make positive changes in their lives then this could be the position for you.The Early Years Flood Grant Program will deliver targeted, trauma informed support for early childhood educators and for families impacted by flooding in the Northern Rivers, NSW.The program will deliver therapeutic interventions including play-based therapy to build capacity of children and their families to understand trauma and its impact on their children’s behaviour. Core outcomes targeted through this funding will be:Increased capacity of families and educators to support children’s trauma induced by the floods.Reduce the likelihood of PTSD in childrenOur Program Workers provide high quality, strengths based and person centered practice and be innovative and solution focused, passionate and have great people skillsare flexible and responsive to the needs of the service, build positive connections and work collaboratively with key stakeholdersare part of a highly skilled, supportive and motivated teamThe ideal candidate willbe a qualified and skilled practitioner (Social Worker, Early Childhood Educator, Allied Health) with an Early Childhood background, and will be deployed in areas of greatest need across Northern NSW.Be qualified in early childhood parenting programs that are evidence based.Experience working with children, families and communities to explore trauma and increase resilience and capacity.Have a deep understanding of the challenges that families and children have experienced as a result of the flooding.Have the ability to achieve positive outcomes for children, families and communitiesHave knowledge of local support services and referral pathwaysWork independently in universal settingsWhat Social Futures OffersGenerous Salary packaging optionsAdditional leave options including Banked hours, Study leave Health and Wellbeing program Flexible Working optionsTraining, Development and Career OpportunitiesRecognition Program and Company- wide celebration eventsSocial Futures is a voice for social change in regional Australia, helping to create connected, resilient communities.
