Flood Recovery Worker

Do you have experience supporting people impacted by disasters?We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Recovery Connect team.This program will support those within our community experiencing impacts from the floods. The Flood Recovery Worker will

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred assistance
  • Understand and provide information on services available for those impacted
  • Facilitate referrals to other relevant services and walk alongside the person as they access these services or available government funding
  • Collaborate across a variety of community-based organizations to ensure the best possible outcomes for community members affected by the 2022 floods

Applicants should

  • Have experience working in the community or homelessness sector, or hold relevant/transferable qualifications and skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, service providers and participants, empowering them to develop their capacity and resources
  • Be proficient at completing a needs and risk assessment.
  • Be passionate about making positive change in their community
