The Program Worker works as part of a small team within the Care Connect Suicide Aftercare Program across Kempsey and Bellingen LGA’s. This role provides short-term psychological intervention and support to people at risk of suicide or self-harm with support provided in a range of settings including outreach. The role is 9 days a fortnight with every 2nd Friday off. The role also has a rotating on call weekend roster to accept referrals The Program Worker will walk alongside people in the program, providing therapeutic supports and connecting them to services and support. The role is diverse and extremely rewarding and would suit an experienced case worker who is has a good knowledge of referral services within the region. Knowledge of recovery-orientated support and trauma-informed care in suicide prevention would be an advantage.
