The headspace Youth Access Outreach program provides psychosocial support for young people living in the Casino and Kyogle Community. Using evidence-based practice in a youth friendly environment the team provides ongoing support to young people and their families. This role would suit someone who is experienced in working with young people, enjoys delivering to groups and understand the principles of trauma informed practice.
In consultation with the Team Leader, the successful candidate will also provide brief therapeutic interventions, facilitate group work, coordinate care and follow ups for young people aged between 12-25 years. As one of the first contact points for young people accessing our service, you will need to be able to quickly build a positive rapport with a wide range of young people, their family and wider support networks.
This position will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including general practitioners, allied health clinicians, community engagement workers and support staff. You will be able to demonstrate your previous experience working closely with local community and partnering with youth services to provide holistic and integrated care.
