Current Working With Children and National Police Check clearances are a condition of employment.Purpose of the PositionThe role is to professionally and sensitively oversee a quality response to the needs of young people, adults and families, NGO’s, government and the community more broadly. An integrated and no wrong door first response team will deliver services as part of the Communities North Consortium. The First Response team will provide access to the service, will assess client needs and refer them to appropriate and accessible local services.This team leader role will oversee a team of caseworkers who will be responsible for assessing and responding to clients’ supports needs. The role also encompasses some direct service provision, service promotion and community development tasks.The position is charged with leading the team and providing direct client services which will:Ensure streamlined, no wrong door access to Communities North services across the region.Support and build capacity for self-advocacy of clients rights and responsibilitiesProvide warm referral services, comprehensive assessment, triage and referral/case coordination and engage in casework in low needsFacilitate service Promotion, and develop appropriate referralEngage in effective communication (verbal and written) that meets the needs of clients andEnsure that all conduct towards clients, the community, colleagues and other service providers is conducted in a professional and ethical mannerApplications close 4 pm Sunday 31st March, 2019To submit your Expression of Interest, please click apply below and follow the online form.
